Interested in the Lives of Teachers SIG?
Launched in 1999, the Lives of Teachers SIG has generated widespread appeal among teachers, teacher educators, and other scholars interested in sharing research, writing, and conversation about teachers.  In the four years since its founding, the SIG has attracted more than 100 members.  It currently offers three prime-time sessions at the AERA conference, in addition to ten roundtable sessions.  One of its sessions each year is devoted to an Interactive Symposium, where members have an opportunity to interact with well known panelists from various countries discussing issues and directions of research on teachers' lives. In the future, the SIG plans to expand this website to include an online newsletter and a place where members can share their research and seek feedback on projects they are working on.
