A Special Interest Group (SIG) of the American Educational Research Association (AERA)

 
This special interest group is designed to bring together people who share an interest in the lives of teachers, from pre-school through graduate school, and who seek to support scholarly activities (research, writing, discussion, dissemination) on this subject. 

Interested in the Lives of Teachers SIG?


Among the topics that fall within the scope of this SIG are narratives by and about teachers, including biography, and autobiography; research on teacher characteristics and development, including career trajectories; historical accounts of teachers and teaching; and the portrayal of teachers in fiction, film, and television.
